our highly valued colleague Shmuel Erlich as sent me an invitation for a very important conference on:
Exploring Irrationality in Self and Organization
An Experiential Working Conference for Psychoanalysts
May 24-27, 2024.
The conference will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Shmuel Erlich is the conference director. The conference is the first step in a very important project in which IPA psychoanalysts could become acquainted with the Group Relations approach through their experience. Shmuel Erlich and the team of conference organizers believe that gaining this knowledge and skills will contribute to improving the working climate and organizational tensions in psychoanalytic societies and institutes.
I personally support this idea and approach a lot because I also think that exploring forms of irrationality in self and organizations through one’ s own experience will help to deal not only with conflicts outside our own organizations but especially inside in our organizations. It could improve the climate of discussion and the atmosphere in our own societies, institutes and international organizations. The EPF is one of the sponsors of this conference, and I ask you to forward the information about the conference to all your members so that they can decide to register.
